Beware Of The Dog-yaz

1. To what does the pilot compare his severe injury? What does this simile reveal about the pilot's state of mind?
-He compares his injury to finding a dead cat on the sofa. The simile reveals that he's in a goofy, funny state of mind, to keep his mind off of his pain.

2. How does the repetition of "I'm gong to pass out" heighten the suspense of the story?
