Beware of The Dog Answers

1.The pilot compares his severe injury to a dead cat on a sofa. What the simile reveals about the pilots state of mind is that his leg looks nasty.
2.The repitition of "I'm going to pass out" heighten the suspense of the story because I want to know what is going to happen next I also start forshawdowing.
3. the pilot is afraid he will land in the water because he knew that he would be  target for the french pilot.
4.After the pilot described the clouds and sun as whiteness and blackness I think he was falling and then blacked out.
5. Details in the second column helps reveal the authors time period and background  when the author says how the german soldier shouldn't be flying around alone.
6.If the planes are German bombers, they might signify a fight and trouble. What I can infer about the nurse from her responses to the pilot's questions about the planes is she is trying to conveince to him everything is okay so he won't start trouble.
7. i think the piolot was about to say the water is hard......
