6. the German bombers could tell that he was  in Germany instead of in britain. I say that because the nurse is trying to hide something from the pilot because, she said that he was imagining things that those aren't the junker 88's even if the pilot knows the sound of the bombers plane exactly . And he was bombed by them

7.I think the pilot was about to say that where he was,;At the water was not where he needed to be ..so he thinks and want to be somewhere else

8.i think that he is confused and want to tell and convince people that he do not have a mental problem

9. As said"He is in france"; he knew he wasn't in britain. he knew that he wasn't crazy and came to his senses that he was okay.

10. The pilot knows what's going on and he know that he is talking to a french soldier

11.after reading this story it seems like the character is a ambicious and determined person and some what messed up about the overall effect.he knew what was the right thing to do and to stick with his instinks
