6.) If the planes were German bombers it might signify that everyones in danger. From the nurse's response I can infer that she's not a worrier and wants the pilot not to worry also because it can effect his health.

7.) I think the pilot was about to say that the water isn't like how it used to be because he remember a time he fell in the shower and couldn't get up. I think he doesn't share it with the nurse because he felt embarrassed or thought she wouldn't find it funny.
